February 28 (1st)

This will be my first short post for the day. I will be posting later on today as well because of the changing conditions we could see from the Colorado low that will be moving it's way towards Wisconsin in the coming hours. The present forecast show that we will have snow for the first part of this storm and it will change over to a wintry mix later on during the storm system. It is also looking like it will change back to snow for a while tomorrow and then back into a wintry mix. This could prove to be very dangerous storm conditions, even more so than if we got the 6 to 12 inches places like Duluth will be getting more than likely. Since most of the snow/precipitation that will be coming will melt or be near freezing we could see extremely icy conditions over the next couple of day. If the winds are still predominantly out of the southeast we should see this predicted weather outcome. If that for some reason changes we could see very different results. I included a map of the current wind direction as well as a map of the growing low pressure system coming our way.
