April 14th to 16th

This past weekend was mainly showery. For the most part it was overcast with mainly cumulus clouds. We saw our first tornado watch as well in the Eau Claire area on the 15th. The high's got up into the upper 60's and today on the 16th it only got up into the low 40's. The winds were coming from the northwest for most of the weekend from the prevailing low pressure system that moved through. Also there wasn't any big storms that some areas close to Eau Claire saw. There was mainly just some strong periodic rains, a far cry from the huge storms that were predicted. Expect this week to have a lot of low temperatures again, with only one day breaking 60 degrees. With the record breaking March temperatures we had, this April has turned out to be a colder than average one. I have included a map of the departure from normal highs, and you can see we are roughly 10 degrees below normal now!
