April 12th and 13th

Yesterday the temperature finally got up to a normal level. There was no freeze warning for the Eau Claire area for the first time in a good amount of days. The high got up to around the mid 60's and the low got down to the high 40's, which was the high for the past couple of days. Today's conditions will be about the same as yesterday. Today however will be more windy and there will be a light drizzle throughout the day. The wind is in the high teens and gusting all the way up to about 30 mph. There is mainly cumulonimbus clouds right now, since it is producing some rain. Tomorrow is when Eau Claire will get a some very interesting weather. Today there will be storms in Illinois and Oklahoma from a low pressure system moving through the area. This low will move into Wisconsin tomorrow and will bring thunderstorms with it. You will not see most of the storms until later during the night. I have included a lightning strike map so you can see where the storms are at right now. I also have the Doppler for the Midwest so you can see where the storms will be moving in from.
