April 10th

Tonight will be another extremely cold one. The high only got into the upper 40's and the low will get down into the mid 20's. Unlike the other freeze warnings that Eau Claire has had this one doesn't have any considerable wind, so there is a much higher chance that we will have frost on the ground. The wind is keeping up at 6 mph right now from the north but will probably calm off even more later on during the night. It is an extremely clear night out tonight as well which helps dip the temperature very low. The high pressure system sitting over Minnesota is what is making the nights so clear and cold out right now. There is a low pressure system coming from Colorado that should bring warmer weather with it in the coming week. Here is a map of the freeze warning area:
